My 8 week old and I attended the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Pt. Pleasant, NJ on Sunday Oct. 17th, 2010. I have attended this event for many years and of course this was my daughter, Juliette's, first time! It was a beautiful fall day in NJ. Great day for a walk!! 3-Day Walk for the Cure Fundraiser
Here is a picture of Lynn's team, It's All About the Girlzzzz, that is walking the 3-Day Susan G. Komen in November. They had a fundraiser on October 6th at Miguel's in 4S Ranch, San Diego, CA. The restaurant was generous enough to donate 15% of food and beverage receipts that were attached to their fundraiser flyer. Congrats to you and your team Lynn!

"Star" Mom Contest
I love Reality TV. I really do. Top Chef, Project Runway, Amazing Race, I could go on and on, but my all time favorite was Dancing with the Stars. The "star" cast was announced this week and I am in shock and wondering if Mel Gibson, Mike Vick, or Lindsay Lohan will be on next season. I just don't want to watch.
But guess what? I won't be able to stop myself, and here is what I know: I am a sports fanatic & 20 year NFL season ticket holder, Kyle Massey actually came to my childrens' school to visit, I love a good comic, and I think Dirty Dancing is a classic movie.
In honor of my favorite childhood TV show, (I know every episode) here are my thoughts...
(Sung to the tune of the Brady Bunch Theme)
Here's the story
Of a terrible cast
Who I really can not believe are on the show
Some of them have no talent
Lets vote them off real fast
Here's the story
Of some real stars
Who will struggle to stand with their cast
All of them will do their best job
Lets hope one wins
Stay tuned for our "Star" Mom contest starting later this week. Good news is you do not have to dance to win!

"Mind Body Spirit: Seeking Balance" goes to Press
Not to be confused with VH1 Behind the Scenes...here is PeaceLoveMom Behind the Scenes!
A few things to note before you take a peak:
It is about 104 degrees in our warehouse - even with those big fans. We are shinning because we are sweating!
Now that Sandra Bullock is a new Mom, she wanted a small role in our video, but in order to participate you must actually work on the PeaceLoveMom team. Sorry Sandra :(
The Starring Characters:
- Cynthia really does wear great jewelry everyday. She has a great sense of style. Me on the other hand, I don't think I brushed my hair.
- Frank is "Mr. PeaceLoveMom" We all call him that because he is the best sport in town. Even on our 20th ink change, he never gets frustrated. Can you imagine how many times he hears us say "can we try one more?"
- Miss Lorraine has been with us since day 1. She is our color compass and our confidence builder.
- Lupe does it all..burns the screens, mixes our inks, and runs the press. He never says no and he is so fast.
This was a small glimpse into our world. We hope you get a sense of how much pride and hard work goes into creating a PeaceLoveMom tee.
Let us know if there is a "behind the PeaceLoveMom scenes" you want to know about.
We are thrilled to have you Celebrate with us!

PeaceLoveMom is 4!!!
It's our party and we can have a BIG piece of cake if we want to...(and we do, we do!!!)
We want to sincerely thank you all for your support, encouragement, and just plain ole good wishes. Celebrating Motherhood with our customers is an amazing experience and we are truly grateful.
To all our customers everywhere: We raise our piece of cake in your honor & toast to you...I know you were expecting something a little stronger, but after all it is lunch time here at our warehouse and we still have carpool to do today.
We will save the bottles of Mumm Napa for year 5 & hopefully we will be able to toast you in person!
PeaceLoveMom,

Big Day Today!
Wearing these, FYI —that's Lori's body. She is the model/partner. |
* How does one get a size 7 foot out of their mouth on live TV?
* If I embarrass our company, can my partner Lori fire me?
* Does the camera really add 10 lbs. or did I really eat all that candy at the trade show?
* Did they offer to do my make-up because they do it for everyone or do they think I need a little extra help?
Kidding aside, we are thrilled and honored. Please tune in!

Going to Market...
Almost finished booth with my daughter, the helper, in her new NBA outfit! |
Remembering that we are still on summer break, I thought it would be a great idea to combine work and fun with one of my daughters. After all, I was going to New York.
The day began with an official New York bagel and a diet coke. Of course, not for my 10 year old. I am one of those "No soda for kids" parents. Also known as, "do what I say and not what I do." I drink about 6 diet cokes a day! It was awesome to eat in Central Park.
We arrive at Javits around noon. Our first obstacle- the show is nervous about children being on the floor. They finally allow us to come and we arrive at our booth to find: NOTHING. That's right -
Nothing! The booth is empty, totally empty. Our booth was delivered but seems to be lost in the building. Three hours later our booth is found and the fun begins - ALONE. My sister and my daughter leave to go have fun. By fun, I mean shopping. By shopping, I mean at the NBA store. Need I say more.
I open the cases. Missing are samples of our hottest new designs, our PR, and the steamer leaked all over the booth signs. Good news was the booth next to PeaceLoveMom was blasting great music! I just starting singing and setting the booth. I am a terrible singer, but no one complained. I think they just felt sorry for me. Plus we have great candy and we always share.
My sister and daughter return at 6pm to help me wrap it up. We steam, hang, stick up boards, post signs, adjust lights.
It was a long day. Glad to have the help. I will arrive early in the morning for some touch ups. Hope the show goes much easier than the set up. Keep you posted. Wish me luck.

My proud mom moments
I am the mother of three kids under the age of five. Many days are challenging and stressful, but I am always thankful and proud to be their Mama. My 2 "big kids" make me especially proud when they are kind to their baby sister and share their things with her.
Thank you!
Angie
PLM - In the end, all that daily hard work pays off for our children and the world!
My proud mom moments
I feel like I have a million proud moments and Liam is only 4-but my most recent was when Liam was talking to his Grandpa in MN on the phone. He told Grandpa that we wanted his friends to fly to Mn with him so they could meet his grandpa and Grandma (we live in GA). He sure loves his grandpa and grandma!
Margaret
PLM - We understand the joy of your children loving your parents. Skype has changed our world.
My proud mom moments
My proud Mommy moment was this past weekend when my 5 year old graduated preschool, he stood in front of his class and informed them that he wants to be a Monster Truck Driver when he is a grown up! Everyday with my two boys is a proud Mommy moment for me!
PLM - We love all the dreams and aspirations our children have!
My proud mom moments
I am so proud of my 8 year old son! He was diagnosed with Dyslexia this year and has always struggled in school. His grades have been B’s and C’s until now. As of the last six weeks of school he is making straight A’s!! I am so proud of how hard he has worked and how far he has come this school year. I’m one proud momma :)
Wendy
Arlington, TX
PLM – We too are thankful for an early diagnose. What a difference the right teaching methods and school can make.
My proud mom moments
My children ages 17 and 20 are not graduating this year. My most recent proud parent moment is of me with our Aussie, Smokey, upon his graduation from agility training. Thank you.
Abby
PLM – We are thrilled for you. We are just struggling with basic obedience right now. Puppy stage is tough!

My proud mom moments
Here is a pic of me with my three beautiful sons. One of my proudest moments was when my two older boys met their new brother and were so loving to him. They still are very loving to him and it makes me feel good to know that they learned to be so loving from my husband and I.
Tiffanie
PLM - Way to be a great role model for your children and others.

My proud mom moments
I am so proud of my 2 daughters for their love and generosity. 18 mos. ago our family started the adoption process to bring home a son from South Korea. As we were waiting and preparing for bringing our son home my daughters came to me one day with a solution to a problem I hadn't even brought up to them yet. We have 3 bedrooms in our house and both girls had their own bedroom. Well, the girls noticed that Henry would need a bedroom and they decided all on their own that Trixie would move out of her bedroom because it had a crib in it and Lydia would have her move into her room because her bed sleeps 2. I was so very, very proud that they would decide all on their own to give up their own rooms all for the sake of a brother who we hadn't met yet.
Our son, Henry, is home now. Both girls play with him and help me more than they ever have before. They anticipate some things I need before I even ask and when I do ask for help they immediately jump in. It's wonderful (and quite different from before!).
Lucky, happy mom,
Lisa
P.S. YOU would be proud of Lydia, too. The "Happy Mom" shirt I'm wearing is the only one of your tshirts I have. I got it for mothers day 6 yrs. ago when my first daughter, Lydia, was born. I wear it all the time -- it's my very favorite tshirt. When Lydia and I went to a mother/daughter tea for Mother's Day we played a game and Lydia was asked what her mother's favorite thing to wear was. She quickly and confidently answered, "Her Happy Mom shirt!" and she was exactly right. :)
PLM- My “Happy Mom” eyes are filled with tears as I read your proud moment. Your girls are so kind and Henry is so blessed to have big sisters…. If he ever questions it, just have him call my brother. Of course, my brother will not have a chance to respond, my sister and I still speak for him :)
My proud mom moments
Dear PLM, I live in your shirts Fri-Sun. They are the best! I wanted to share with you my recent proud parenting moments. My daughter, who graduated from preschool this week (one proud moment!) just started playing T-Ball. In yesterday’s game she got two outs and scored two runs! Yeah Lauren! We have been struggling on how to end my son’s nighttime addiction to his pacifier. Last week Kade announced all on his own that he was ready to give the “BaBa” to a new baby. He walked to his bed, placed the BaBa on his dresser and announced he was done! We celebrated at the toy store. He has not asked for it again. He brags that he helped a new baby. So proud of my kids!
Best PLM,
Rindy
Dallas, Tx
PLM - Great stories. You certainly have much to be proud of!
I'm proud of my son's ability to share
As for most mommies, it's hard to pick just 1 thing to be proud of with our children! Seems like each day brings something new they do or say that makes us proud! Lately, it's been my son's ability to share...just the other day he got a new toy, his first "pool toy," and when we got to the pool his friend was excited to see his toy. He gave it to his friend to play with first. He's just a sweet spirit!
PLM – Thanks for “sharing” with us!
My proud mom moments
My proudest mom moments are when my kids do so well in something they have been practicing at. My son LOVES baseball and when he gets home from school he works at it and come game day he is great! My daughter loves track and when she is running down that track her smile is bigger than life. I especially am proud of my kids when they show compassion for someone else.

PLM - Sports not only keep you fit, but they teach life lessons.

The original PLM's in NY
The original PeaceLoveMom’s with their daughters doing some celebrating in New York! Tavern on the Green sadly was empty, but Central Park was filled with lots of PeaceLoveMom’s that day.
I'm proud of my boys....always.
I'm proud of my boys....always. Whether they're playing, learning, making mistakes, making jokes, etc. It's what makes them great. And I'm just lucky to be here for the ride! Thanks PLM for celebrating moms...always.

PLM- We are lucky to be able to share the Celebration of Motherhood with you. Love the bubbles!!! Great fun when it is a beautiful day.
I'm a proud mom to my two little boys
I have a proud mama moment everyday that I wake up to my little boys, they make me laugh and sometimes scream....I look into their big eyes and I see Gods precious miracles that he has given me and I couldn't be more proud because my boys always pick me floweres, give me sweet wet kisses, big warm hugs and an unconditional love that words can't express....these are little glimpses of my heart!!

I'm proud of no training wheels!
My 5 year old is done with the training wheels!!! Just in time for summer!
Violet
PLM - Congratulations to both of you!!! Love her flower helmet & the Barbie bike.
I'm proud of my girls as good sisters
I am very lucky to be the mom of 2 great girls.
When I see them being good to each other, that is when I feel so proud to be their mom! Sisters are irreplaceable and I try and tell them each daily how lucky they are to have each other in their life. Being good to each other is so important!
I am so lucky to be their mom!
Jennifer
PLM - sounds like they are lucky to have you too! Great advice for everyone. Be kind to your sister.
I'm proud of my daughter in her big girl bed!
I am a proud parent of a 2 yr old who just started sleeping in a big girl bed! No more crib! Now we just need to work on the potty training :)
Thanks-
Jana
PLM- So exciting! Good luck with the potty. Can’t wait to hear how that goes :)
Many proud moments
Proudest Mom Moment - our little one, Hunter, just turned 13 months old.
My proudest moment so far..... seeing my little boy sitting on a high chair at a restaurant, tapping his chest and saying his name for the first time! I got teary eyed!!!
Second proudest moment....every time I get to wear my Peace Love Mom shirts and cap, because I'm able to express what a "Happy Mom" I am.
Siuyan
PLM- We got teary eyed just looking at these sweet photos. Happy Moms are contagious. Thanks for the great photos.
Proud Mom Moment at Disney
Proud mom moment! We took our son on a Disney weekend for his fifth birthday - what a special time. Minnie is my favorite and my son was super proud to be the picture with us! He also told me that day that he was lucky to have me as a mom and also see Minnie in the same day!
Amy
PLM- Minnie is one of our favorites too! In fact, I dress up as Minnie every year for Halloween. Just can’t seem to figure out how to work a PLM tee into my costume – that would make her outfit perfect!
I'm proud of my daughters for balancing
I am proud of my daughters because they manage to keep up with their academic priorities while playing softball, attend dance classes, and are very active in our church.
Jamie
Port Neches, TX
PLM- Jamie - We can see why you are so proud & GRATEFUL!!

My resolution: to give back more
Here is a photo of me in my Lucky Mom t-shirt at the nonprofit organization Feed My Starving Children in Aurora, IL. One of my new years resolutions is to give back more, and we spent our new years weekend as a family at this organization, packing nutritious meals to be shipped overseas to areas where poverty and hunger have devastated whole generations of children. One of the organizations main recipients is Haiti; little did we know how timely our involvement this January would be.
Thanks so much for providing quality, comfortable clothing that advertises and articulates our gratitude for our blessings so well!
--Eileen
