Linda's 2011 Resolution

Hi to all You Balanced Moms….

My name is Linda Dobson, and I have been wearing your PLM shirts for a number of years now, and (might I add) receiving TONS of compliments everywhere I go…so of course I pass on the word!  I’m seeking to balance my world this year by pacing myself alittle more with work and home.  Like most working moms, we all strive to give 100% everywhere we are, and that’s great, but I think I need to take the pace down a little bit and give my 100% with more focus and care…especially with my children!  They are only small for such a short time, and I need to “stop and smell the roses” abit more. They are amazing creatures and make me laugh out loud every day, and I want to enjoy that so much more that I have been able to do in the past.  There you have it…that is my wish for the year.  Hope you like it!  Thanks to all of you for your wonderful products, which I wear with pride, and which remind me to be thankful for the wonderful gifts I have in being a MOM!

Hi PLM,
My goal for 2011 is to find balance for myself and my family while on our temporary assignment in Istanbul, Turkey.  I am trying to encourage us to embrace our new surroundings, language and culture, while finding ways to maintain traditions and a sense of home.  I've started taking Pilates, which I love.  I want to remember to enjoy the ride and appreciate our many blessings.

p.s.  I get lots of compliments on my PLM shirts in Turkey!!

I asked my husband if he had any pictures of me wearing my peacelovemom gear and he shared this one with me.  He took this on our trip to the San Diego Zoo!   To find balance in my life I want to learn how to meditate so I can maximize my alone time, center myself,  and be a calmer wife and mother!

Hi PLM,

As the mother of two girls under 4 with a third due in March, I'm definitely in need of more balance in my life.  This year, my goal is to try to live as much in the moment as possible.  I will remind myself that the girls will only be little for a short time and that I need to enjoy this time as it is fleeting.

I plan to seek more balance in my life in 2011 by getting back into running and yoga. I also plan to allow my family to help out more and not hold them to such a high standard of perfectionism.  Example, I am trying to learn that even if the laundry isn't folded perfect, it is still folded and if there are a few wrinkles in my sons bed after he makes it, well, thats ok too...

Happy New Year to you!!! Yes, I have a goal of finding balance of motherhood and just a little bit of "me time" in the form of exercise.

As a busy mom of 3, there is a lot of guilt when I want to spend 30 minutes on the treadmill.  I have recently moved my treadmill into the basement (aka playroom).  I will hopefully be able to have them play independently for 30 minutes while I watch from the corner on my treadmill.  Let's see how many times I will need to stop to break up a fight or put a toy together (haha).  Really looking forward to the Spring to go back to our family bike rides.

I am seeking more balance in my life by dropping the kids off at school and heading to the gym! I can escape to a world of sweat and destressing! My husband jokes that my PLM "Balanced Mom" shirt should say "unbalanced"!! ha ha Heres to a New Year of being Peaceful Calm Mom!

I am going to run at least 5 miles a week and am excited to start taking classes at the gym!  Maybe some yoga will help me stay balanced! ;)

Here is a photo of me in one of my PLM tanks AFTER an hourlong Jazzercise class!  Exercise certainly helps me stay balanced.  I set a goal of at least 4 hours of Jazzercise per week this year (during the school year, of course)!

Denise's 2011 Resolution

My daughter and I got mother/daughter shirts for Christmas.  It is her first PLM shirt and she was so excited.  She had been waiting so long to get one. Now she keeps bugging me about our next order.  Our goal this year is to have more girl time together.  She is sandwiched between 4 brothers so her and I both definetly need it.  She is at the age of 8 and her girl moments are definetly becoming more frequent.  Can't wait to see what the year holds for our relationship!
